So this was a story that I submitted a WHILE ago to an LGBTQIA+ anthology, and it ended up being rejected. I was a little sad, especially since I put my heart and soul in it, but I know that the publishing world can be very picky, so I didn’t take it too personally.
I wanted to still share this, because, like I said, I put a lot of work into it, and despite how vulnerable of a piece it is, I still wanted to make sure anyone could read it. It’s filled with so many personal anecdotes, and I think it showed off my writing style in a way that I’ve never really challenged myself to show it, before.
So here you go, y’all. This is “Curveballs,” a story about a failed romance I thought I saw coming, and the signs that it was on its way. Click here to read the story.
I hope you enjoy it!
